When it was raining… – Tuba w/Piano
by John Carbon
A major new solo work for tuba and piano in four movements. This music is depictive and descriptive as evidenced by the forward by the composer: “What can a child do on a rainy day? Perhaps visit a covered bridge. Imagining the life of a tin soldier might be interesting. Writing a letter? Best of all, stomping in puddles! “
WM #466…$18.50

Dirge: for the Age of Reptiles Op.37 – Tuba w/Piano
by Robert C. Ehle
Composer of the Sonatina for Tuba and Piano, Dr. Ehle’s new publication is a welcome encore for original solo material for the tuba. Laconic and taciturn, this brooding piece with its eclectic harmonies is a welcome addition to the tuba’s solo literature.
WM #401…$6.50

Sonatina for Tuba and Piano
by Robert Ehle
This piece features Japanese scales, the type of pentatonic scales, which contain half steps. A tuaba playing Japanese music provides an odd but interesting combination and conjures up the image of Sumo wrestling: great power combined with great delicacy. Depending on which tuba a performer chooses to use, some notes may be transposed up or down by an octave to fit the instrument.
WM #219…$17.00
