Trombone quartets

Three Pieces by Bela Bartok trans. Erich Schwarz Bela Bartok was not only a well-known “modernist” composer of the 20th century, but also an avid ethnomusicologist. Fascinated by the intricacy and unusual harmonic, melodic and rhythmical qualities of the folk music of Central Europe he not only painstakingly notated the music, but would record these folk artists using his gramophone equipment. It is from this music that Bartok gleaned from the rich heritage of folk music that is included in this suite. WM #469…$14.50
